The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum

The only vacuum with no maintenance and no loss of suction.

No filters to wash or replace. No bags to buy.

A dirty, dust-clogged filter being washed in the sink.

Other vacuums rely on filters to capture microscopic dust. But unless washed regularly they clog - causing suction to drop.

Only Dyson Cinetic™ science
doesn't lose suction.

It captures the microscopic dust that clogs conventional vacuums - so there are no dirty filters to wash or replace.

36 Dyson Cinetic™ tips oscillate at up to 5000Hz, preventing microscopic dust from building up and blocking the airflow. Which means there's no loss
of suction, year after year.

Look closely

If you look closely at the metal shroud on a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball™ vacuum, you'll see it's perforated with tiny holes - over 30,000 of them, in fact. Dirty air gets sucked through the mesh, filtering out all but the finest particles of dust. To be just right, each hole has to be individually etched with acid, and measure less than 250 microns wide... that's less than half the size of a single grain of rice.

Conventional barrel vacuums can topple over easily - interrupting your cleaning.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball™ barrel vacuums pick themselves up. Fewer delays, less time wasted.

Dyson engineers created a curved body with a low centre of gravity. So when the vacuum is knocked down, gravitational force automatically rolls it
back upright.

The tipping point

Every internal component of a Dyson Big Ball vacuum has been designed to help the vacuum self-right.
From the motor, to the cable rewind - everything's been designed to fit neatly inside the ball chassis, while keeping the weight as low as possible. The centre of gravity is controlled to within 3mm - any higher or lower and the vacuum wouldn't get back up.

The Carbon fibre turbine tool

Carbon fibre filaments on the brush bar help dissipate the static charge holding fine dust to the floor.

The Musclehead floor tool

The Musclehead floor tool automatically seals in suction across carpets, rugs and hard floors.

A surface recognition switch detects changes in the floor type - automatically raising or lowering the tool's baseplate to maximise suction.
